Whether it's policy analysis, strategic visioning, government relations, or community engagement, we help organizations develop values-driven plans to produce tangible results.
With two decades of experience in governance, funding, policy, advocacy, and operations, we understand the reality of community organizations and how to navigate the complex landscape of the housing sector.

Hope Jamieson (they/them) has been involved in the housing sector for two decades as a grassroots organizer, community worker, volunteer, policymaker, funder, and consultant.
In 2017, as a 28-year-old single parent, Hope launched a dark horse campaign for the Ward 2 seat on St. John's City Council—and won. During their three years as Ward 2 Councillor, Hope took the lead on housing initiatives, successfully implementing the City's Affordable Housing Strategy.
Hope also served as the regional energy coach program coordinator and program manager for Newfoundland and Labrador at the Community Housing Transformation Centre. At the Centre, Hope managed innovative partnerships that leveraged hundred of thousands of dollars in capacity building funds for the housing sector. They also assisted nonprofit housing providers in planning and funding energy-efficient affordable housing retrofit and construction projects.
Since founding Annex, Hope has worked with community organizations on numerous capacity-building, community engagement, research, and policy development projects. Hope is especially at home in community, developing strategies and policy and foregrounding the individuals and organizations most impacted by the housing crisis.
Hope holds a Master of Business Administration in Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and is currently a doctoral candidate in MUN's Faculty of Business Administration, focusing on solutions to the housing crisis. They serve as Co-Chair, Internal, on the board of St. John's Pride and are an adoring parent to three amazing kids.
